Project 002-Period Kits & Refills (St. Louis, MO)

April 19, 2025 saw our first-ever community event, Coffee and Kits! We put together 300 backpack period kits and collected over 400 pads and tampons for donation. We also hosted a period talk with Sexuality and Relationship Therapist, De-Andrea Blaylock Solar, LCSW, CST that allowed us to open up and reflect on our own experiences with periods and help fight the stigma around talking about menstration.

We’d like to thank the Skandalaris Center at WashU, Delmar Divine, and the WashU Community Engagement Office for their support in hosting this event.

Project 001- Backpack Period Kits (Chicago, IL)

Our first project was a success! With help from the Skandalaris Center at WashU, we created 240 period kits for students. Each kit had pads, tampons, hand sanitizer, and an info card about periods. We delivered these kits to Madero Middle School, Duke Ellington Middle School, and Austin High School on Chicago's west side. We're excited to keep working to end period poverty!
